Mid-Level Real Estate Lending Associate

An elite national law firm is seeking a talented mid-level associate to join its sophisticated Real Estate Finance group in either New York or Charlotte. This is a standout opportunity for an attorney who thrives in a high-performing, collaborative environment and wants direct exposure to major financial institutions and complex real estate transactions across the country.

The Role
In this position, you will take on a central role representing leading lenders in real estate and asset-based loan originations. You’ll handle transactions involving commercial properties, development projects, and diverse collateral structures. • Structuring, negotiating, and documenting real estate and asset-based lending transactions

  • Managing loan originations from term sheet through closing

  • Advising on collateral packages and multi-property financings

  • Collaborating closely with partners and clients, with meaningful opportunities for hands-on responsibility

  • Supporting a broad mix of deal types across national and regional markets

What We’re Looking For

  • 4–6 years of real estate finance experience, with a strong focus on representing lenders

  • Solid background in loan origination work

  • Additional experience with developer-side real estate transactions is a plus

  • Strong academic credentials and polished communication skills

  • Ability to manage competing deadlines while maintaining exceptional attention to detail

  • Admission to the NY or NC Bar (or eligibility to waive into NC)

Why This Role Stands Out
You’ll be joining a highly respected, full-service platform where associates receive substantive work, direct partner engagement, and exposure to sophisticated matters from day one. The firm offers competitive compensation, robust benefits, and a supportive culture that values growth, performance, and professional development.
