Litigation Associate – Commercial Litigation (3+ Years)

Location: Los Angeles, CA
Experience Level: Minimum 3 Years

A dynamic litigation practice is seeking a highly qualified associate with at least three years of experience in commercial litigation to join its Los Angeles office. The ideal candidate will have deep familiarity with California state and federal court procedures and demonstrate the ability to manage key aspects of litigation from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities:

• Drafting and responding to complaints

• Leading the preparation of discovery responses

• Drafting and arguing dispositive motions, including demurrers, motions to dismiss, and summary judgment motions

• Handling discovery-related motions independently

• Conducting legal research and preparing high-quality memoranda and briefs

• Deposition experience strongly preferred

• Trial or trial preparation experience is a significant plus

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of commercial litigation experience in California courts

• Excellent writing and analytical skills

• Experience with depositions and motion practice

• Strong academic credentials

• Previous large or mid-sized law firm experience preferred

• Admitted to practice in California
