Technology Transactions & Licensing Associate

A leading global law firm is actively seeking a Technology Transactions & Licensing Associate (Mid-Level) with 3–5 years of experience to join its San Diego office.

Position Overview:

This role offers the opportunity to work with innovative startups, growth-stage companies, and global enterprises on high-impact technology and licensing matters.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Draft and negotiate commercial and licensing agreements

  • Advise on IP, technology transactions, cloud computing, AI/ML, software, and semiconductor matters

  • Provide product counseling and regulatory advice (including CCPA, GDPR, and open-source licenses)

  • Assist with cross-border transactions and international licensing

  • Support IP aspects of M&A and financing transactions

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • 3–5 years of relevant law firm or in-house experience
  •  Strong knowledge of intellectual property and commercial contract law
  • Familiarity with data privacy regulations
  • Excellent drafting and negotiation skills
  • Technical background (e.g., Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Bioengineering) is a plus
  • Ability to handle multiple client demands in a fast-paced environment

Location:

San Diego, California

Compensation:

  • Base salary range: $240,000 – $280,000

  • Comprehensive benefits package and discretionary bonus eligibility
