A leading Am Law 200 firm is seeking a Mid-to-Senior Level Private Equity Associate to join its Chicago office. This is a confidential search for a highly motivated corporate attorney looking to work with middle-market private equity clients on sophisticated transactional matters.

Position Overview:

The successful candidate will represent private equity funds, independent sponsors, and family offices in leveraged buyouts, as well as advise family-owned businesses and entrepreneurs on sell-side M&A transactions. The role offers substantial client contact, hands-on responsibility, and the opportunity to work alongside a nationally recognized private equity team.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

• 4–8 years of relevant private equity and M&A experience

• Strong deal execution and client management skills

• Experience leading workstreams on leveraged buyouts and sell-side transactions

• Excellent drafting, negotiation, and organizational abilities

• Superior academic credentials and large law firm or highly regarded boutique experience preferred

• Admission to the Illinois Bar (or ability to waive in) required
