An elite global law firm is seeking a mid-level Employment & Labor Associate for its Palo Alto office. The ideal candidate will bring broad-based experience in employment law, with an interest in advising venture capital and investment firms on industry-specific employment matters. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with fund formation teams on cutting-edge employment issues in the startup and VC space.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide employment counseling to venture capital and fund clients

• Draft and review employment agreements, policies, and handbooks

• Advise on executive compensation, terminations, and workplace policies

• Support transactional teams on employment-related diligence

• Coordinate with fund formation attorneys on personnel-related fund matters

Candidate Requirements

• 3–6 years of experience in employment law (preferably at a top-tier firm)

• Familiarity with venture capital or investment firm ecosystems strongly preferred

• Excellent communication, drafting, and legal analysis skills

• Strong academic credentials and bar admission in California

• Experience with employment litigation is a plus but not required

Compensation & Benefits

• Base salary range: $260,000 – $390,000, based on experience and location
