Lead Service Designer

The People Of: Tech is seeking a Lead Service Designer with a strong UX background to join a leading omnichannel retailer. This is one of our top-priority vacancies with one of TPO’s best clients.

We are currently representing an Iconic brand that has already undergone a large-scale digital transformation team and boasts a first-class UX function. This is a new position for a Lead Service Designer to play a pivotal role in driving forward service design best practices and strategies. You’ll collaborate closely with stakeholders across various departments including Marketing, Store Operations, Pharmacy, and Digital to enhance services, streamline processes, and improve experiences for both internal colleagues and customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development & implementation of service design strategies, from stakeholder analysis to design concepts.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for cost-saving and experience improvement.
  • Conduct workshops and research activities to evaluate and enhance current services.
  • Work closely with senior stakeholders to create service design blueprints and develop wireframes and prototypes as needed.
  • Utilize customer insights to inform decision-making and improve user experiences.
  • Design complex user flows, journey maps, and information architectures.
  • Advocate for user-centered design principles throughout the product development lifecycle.
  • Iterate on designs based on feedback and usability findings.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and emerging design technologies to continually improve processes and outputs.

Hybrid Working:

Our client offers a fixed hybrid working approach, with a blend of remote and office-based work. Office days are Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, with remote work available on Mondays and Fridays.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Design, HCI, Interaction Design, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • 4-8 years of experience as a Lead/Senior Service Designer.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating leadership in project initiation to completion.
  • Proficiency in tools such as Service Blueprints.
  • Passion for evangelizing service design and introducing user-centred design processes.
