A leading Am Law firm is seeking a Non-Profit Tax Of Counsel Attorney to support its nationally recognized Tax Practice. This is a reduced-hours (75%) role designed for attorneys looking for top-tier work with greater flexibility.

About the Role

You’ll advise tax-exempt organizations, foundations, hybrid entities, and socially driven ventures on:

  • Structuring and governance

  • Exemption and compliance (IRC §§ 501(c)(3), 509, 4940–4945, UBTI)

  • Joint ventures between nonprofits and for-profits

  • Grant-making, fiscal sponsorships, PRIs, and international operations

You’ll collaborate closely with attorneys in M&A, private funds, and real estate to support complex transactions involving mission-driven clients.

Ideal Candidate

  • 7+ years of nonprofit tax experience (Am Law firm or boutique experience preferred)

  • Skilled in nonprofit structuring, IRS compliance, and transactional tax matters

  • Excellent communicator, trusted advisor, and strategic thinker

  • Admitted in a U.S. jurisdiction (or eligible to waive in)
