Private Equity Associate – Energy

An international law firm with a leading global M&A and private equity practice is seeking an experienced Private Equity Associate to join its Houston office. This is a unique opportunity for a mid-to-senior associate with 4–7 years of private equity M&A experience, particularly in the energy sector.

Position Overview:

The successful candidate will advise private equity sponsors on complex mergers and acquisitions, investment transactions, and portfolio company matters. The role involves significant responsibility, including drafting and negotiating sophisticated transaction documents, leading deal execution, and supervising junior attorneys.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

• 4–7 years of relevant experience
• Strong background representing private equity sponsors in M&A and investment deal
• Experience in the energy industry sector preferred
• Solid deal management and leadership skills
• Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication abilities
• Stellar academic credentials and large law firm training
