Product Data Manager

The People Of: Tech is working with one of the largest retailers in the UK to recruit a Product Data Manager. This person will be the guardian of all central consent solutions so that data is in shape and available to meet business needs. This is an extremely important back-end data management role to ensure the front-end infrastructure can function smoothly allowing BAU and omnichannel sales to happen! This role will suit a product owner, product manager or business analyst who has progressed from a background in Data management. Ideally, you’ll be familiar with data querying using SQL.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Product Strategy: Act as the point of contact for requests related to the development of the Single View Of Customer (SVOC) database and data integrations.
  2. Product Delivery: Own specific work packages to support the delivery of agreed-upon projects within the year.
  3. Collaboration: Work with product, IT, and data teams, and facilitate the hybrid waterfall-agile IT development process.
  4. KPI Monitoring: Define and track KPIs to measure project/product success.
  5. Data Governance: Ensure data integrity and compliance with data governance standards and regulatory requirements like GDPR.
  6. Consents Solution: Be responsible for the central consents solution.
  7. Data Queries: Facilitate the resolution of data queries and incidents.
  8. Data Enrichment: Identify new first, second, and third-party data sources to enhance customer profiles and improve the customer experience.
  9. Reporting: Produce routine reports for SVOC, including data cleanse reporting, validation service reporting, and system health/status reporting.
  10. Optimization: Collaborate with the optimization team to identify opportunities for improving functionality and the user experience.

A bit about you:

The ideal Product Data Manager candidate will be well versed in back-end data management as well as a good understanding of how this fits into the wider business operation and product strategy. You’ll need excellent organisation and communication skills to be able to deal with the many various stakeholders you’ll engage with as well as being able to work to a waterfall-agile approach! For the role taker, we’d like to see experience working for a large organisation with oversight of CRM or data management.
