Salary Range: $260,000 – $365,000

A prestigious international law firm is seeking a tax associate with 3–5 years of experience to join its leading Fund Formation practice in either its Chicago or New York office. This role is ideal for attorneys with a strong background in advising fund sponsors and investors on venture capital and private equity fund structures and transactions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Advise on formation of private equity and venture capital funds

  • Provide tax counsel to fund sponsors and institutional investors

  • Assist with joint ventures, secondary investments, and other structuring

  • Manage multiple complex matters simultaneously

  • Draft and review relevant fund formation and transaction documents

Candidate Requirements

  • 3–5 years of relevant tax experience in fund formation

  • Experience with fund structuring and investment management taxation

  • Excellent communication, analytical, and client-service skills

  • Strong academic credentials from a nationally recognized law school

  • Admitted to practice in relevant U.S. jurisdiction (NY or IL preferred)
